RNLI Renew Call To Respect The Water

A live demonstration is being held on the River Lee
The RNLI has renewed their call for people to respect the water by holding a live demonstration rescue on the River Lee this morning.
The Crosshaven RNLI crew carried out the demonstration rescue to highlight the importance of remaining calm if people find themselves in difficulty in the water.
The renewed 'Float to Live' campaign is in association with the GAA and follows the drownings of 10 people in Ireland over the past 16 days.
David O'Leary is an RNLI crew member from Crosshaven who lost a family member to drowning.
He told RedFM News that demonstrations like today can save lives
