Garda forensic experts will continue examining the scene of a fatal two-car crash in Cork this morning.
One man in his 20s died and another man, also in his 20s, suffered critical injuries in the collision at Leemount Cross in Ballincollig last night.
Meanwhile five others were injured.
The incident happened at around 8.30pm on the Cork to Ballincollig Road at Leemount Cross.
It's understood a car carrying five men was in collision with a second car occupied by two women in their late 20s.
A man in his early 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car - also in his 20s - was rushed to Cork University Hospital with critical injuries.
The other occupants of both cars - three men and two women were hurt and were taken to hospital - however their injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.
The road remains closed to facilitate forensic examinations and diversions are in place.
It's not expected to re-open before midday.
Motorists are being advised of delays on diverted routes due to the closure of the Inniscarra Rd between Leemount Cross Roads and the junction with Inniscarra Bridge, at the Inniscarra Bar.
