Road Reopens Following Fatal Road Traffic Collision in North Cork

The body of a man who died following a collision between a van and bike in North Cork has been removed from the scene.
Gardai have confirmed that the site at Doctor Barry's Bridge in Rathcormac has been cleared and the road has now fully re-opened to traffic.
The motorcyclist in his 40's, who is believed to be from the North Cork area, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the van driver was treated for shock but did not sustain any other injuries.
Gardai have repeated their appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision or travelled the Old Cork Fermoy road this morning to contact Fermoy Garda station on 025 82100.
