Road Safety Warning Issued As Cork Has the Highest Road Death Toll in Ireland

Gardai in Cork are warning motorists to slow down, take extra care on the roads and not to drink and drive this August Bank Holiday weekend.
The Road Safety Authority released a report this week that shows Cork has the highest number of fatalities on the roads so far this year.
17 people have lost their lives on Cork roads and the RSA has warned that a further 80 people could die on the nation's roads before the end of 2016.
Motorists are being advised that Gardai will be carrying out a series of high visibility checkpoints across the city and county over the long weekend
Speaking to RedFM News Inspector Finbarr O' Sullivan from the Garda Traffic Corps at Anglesea Street says people should plan ahead for their journey:
