Road Safety Works On Jack Lynch Tunnel
The Jack Lynch Tunnel will be closed nightly for three weeks from the 2nd of September. It's to facilitate safety upgrade works, including the installation of electronic safety barriers which are standard in all modern tunnels. The closure will take place nightly from 9.15pm to 7am, but special allowance will be made for Cork hurling fans making an early start on their trip to Dublin on the 8th of September for the All Ireland final. On that day the tunnel will open at 5am and will not close until midnight.
