Rob Heffernan to receive 2012 Olympic bronze medal today

Cork Olympian Rob Heffernan will receive his bronze medal for the 50Km walk from the 2012 Olympics later this evening.
The World Champion Gold medallist finished fourth in the London Games, but was upgraded to third place by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
It follows the disqualification of the Russian Gold medalist Sergei Kirdyapkin for doping.
The Cork athlete will be the first Olympian to receive a medal on Irish Soil.
Family, Friends, members of the Irish Olympic Team and Cork's RedFM will all be at the presentation which will take place in the City Hall at 7pm.
