Ronan O'Gara pays tribute to Munster team-mates as he accepted the Freedom of Cork City
The out half is the first rugby player to be bestowed the honour, awarded for his contribution to the game for Munster and Ireland over the past 20 years
He began his career in Munster in 1997, and has since been capped for Ireland 128 times and still holds the record for most points scored in the Heineken Cup Championship.
Ronan now joins Roy Keane, Sonia O'Sullivan and Sean Og O Halpin as the fourth sports person ever to receive the award.
Speaking to RedFM News at the City Hall, Ronan says the award is a great nod to the game of Rugby.
