RSA Warns 78 More People Could Die On the Roads This Year If Current Trends Continue

The Road Safety Authority has warned that a further 78 people could die on the roads by the end of the year if current trends continue..
77 people have died on the nations roads in the first six months of this year and if the current average continues we could see another 78 people die on the roads by the end of 2017.
7 people have people have died on Cork roads so far this year with the Mid-Year Review of Road Safety, published this afternoon revealing that cyclist fatalities have doubled across the country from 5 to 10, compared with the same period last year
Arrests for driving under the influence are up 18% on last years figures, however the review shows that the number of people who died in road accidents dropped by 10 to 77
