Ruby The Dog Reunited With Family In Midleton After Being Spotted In The UK
The Springer Spaniel was stolen from her home in June
A post on the Garda Southern Region Facebook page was seen by over 10,000 people including a lady in the UK who said Ruby the dog was being sold on a UK website.
Somerset Police recovered Ruby in poor health with her microchip remove.
She made the 500km journey back to Midleton via Rosslare in time for Christmas and is now back to her old self.
Ruby's owners Bernard and Liz Ahern say they're delighted to have her back and very thankful to the lady who spotted her.
Midleton Gardaí say the theft is still being actively investigated.
