Applications made for casinos at Fermoy and Mitchelstown has been met with significant opposition from locals.

According to a report in the Irish Examiner over 1000 signatures have been received against the proposed casino in Mitchelstown while hundreds of people attended a meeting in Fermoy against the proposed casino for the town.
