Rural Isolation In Focus In Cork As Restrictions Impact On Social Gatherings

Our senior reporter Fiona O'Donovan spoke to locals in Ballinora
That's Con O'Sullivan from Ballinora who says Level 3 restrictions have worsened the feeling of rural isolation for those who depended on their local pub and on mass for social and mental well being.
Last week a letter was presented to the Bishop of Cloyne William Crean on behalf of church goers in Cork who called for the resumption of masses, and the reversal of what they say is the unjustified closure of religious services which haven't been associated with any outbreaks of COVID19.
Our senior reporter Fiona O'Donovan has this special report for RedFM News:
“It’s just that we have a little rhythm in life you know...it’s like part of our life has vanished” As concerns mount about the deepening of rural isolation due to Covid19 I spoke to Ballinora local Con O’Sullivan about the loss of mass&the local pub.More @RedFMNews @CorksRedFM pic.twitter.com/kdxHiB0y3n
