Ryanair has been awarded almost €250,000 after an anonymous Twitter user tweeted a bomb threat 

The post last year read - "You have 15 minutes before I commit the biggest terror attack the UK has ever seen on one of your planes."

The user was tracked down to the US state of Pennsylvania and Ryanair filed extortion and defamation proceedings. 

This week the US District Court ruled in the airline's favour. 

Solicitor with DMG Media Michael Keely is warning social media users to be careful what they post.
