Safe Ireland warns of expected increase in demand for their services

Safe Ireland says it expects demand for its domestic violence services this year to peak over the coming months.
The charity's welcoming Airbnb's extension to its partnership to provide free emergency accommodation to victims into 2022.
The measure, first introduced in June last year, has so far provided 2,000 nights of accommodation to date.
CEO of Safe Ireland, Mary McDermott, says the announcement's particularly important as we head into summer.
"Last year, July and August were really the busiest months for us.
"Women need to plan, and be very careful, when they can or indeed if they can move.
"They're more reticent to leave when children are in school, so the summer may indeed show a surge in people contacting refuges."
