Save Cork City group to escalate campaign
A group campaigning against the planned flood relief scheme for the city say they'll escalate their campaign next weekend.
The Save Cork City group held a meeting with the OPW yesterday in City Hall and say they weren't happy with the outcome of the meeting as they feel their voice isn't being heard.
One of the issues the campaign group raised was the lack of a conservation report which they say is vital to protect the heritage of the city.
The group are organising another demonstration next wekeend called 'Love the Lee' where they'll attempt to raise awarness of their fears about the multi-million euro plans by hosting events on and the near the river.
Speaking to RedFM News John Hegarty from the Save Cork City campaign says they were happy to attend the meeting but they didn't believe that much progress was made:
