Savita's Husband To Take Galway University Hospital To Court

Praveen Halappanavar is to take Galway University Hospital to the high court over the death of his wife Savita. The 31 year old died from septacemia in University Hospital Galway on the 28th of October last year after she was found to be miscarrying at 17 weeks. A HSE investigation found multiple failures in her care coupled with a lack of clarity on whether doctors could legally interveneto perform an abortion.
