Seamus Heaney laid to rest today

President Michael D. Higgins will lead mourners at Seamus Heaney's funeral this morning. The funeral of the Nobel prize winning poet and playwright takes place at 11.30am at Church of the Sacred Heart in Dublin's Donnybrook. Seamus Heaney, who died on Friday aged 74, will be buried in his native Bellaghy, Co Derry around 5.00pm. Mr Heaney was awarded numerous prizes over the years and won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995. He's survived by his wife Marie and his three children.
