Second man arrested following city shooting

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A man in his late sixties has been arrested in relation to a shooting in the city at the weekend which left a woman in hospital.
21-year-old Ciara Sheehan was shot in the neck as she sat in her boyfriend's house in Hollywood Estate in the early hours of Sunday morning.
She had to undergo emergency surgery and she remains in CUH recovering this evening.
Another man and a woman were arrested following the incident and the woman was released without charge late last night but both men are being questioned at Gurranabraher garda station this evening.
The Bishop of Cork and Ross has expressed his concern about rising violence in the city after the incident and it prompted Bishop John Buckley to directly appeal to anyone in possession of an illegal firearm or weapon to hand them over to the authorities.
Speaking to TV3's Paul Byrne Bishop Buckley says he's fearful that this kind of violence in the city could escalate:
