Senator Buttimer to quiz Aer Lingus on plans for Cork

Cork senator Jerry Buttimer says he intends to ask the chief executive of Aer Lingus about their plans for Cork.

Today's Oireachatas Committee on Transport of Communications will hear from Lynn Embleton, the airline's CEO, and its chief corporate affairs officer Donal Moriarty.

The Echo reports that Senator Buttimer will ask about their plans for Cork Airport, and about job security for staff.

The Fine Gael Senator also wants Aer Lingus to restate their commitment to Cork, saying that pre covid it was the second busiest airport in the country.
