Several Arrests In Garda Raids Across Macroom Division
Five men were arrested in a series of raids in the Macroom Garda division yesterday.
The Irish Examiner reports that several unlicensed firearms were also seized following the operation.
Gardaí, Revenue and Customs officers, officials from the Department of Social Protection and the environment section of Cork County Council were all part of the operation.
As part of the sting properties were searched, several road checkpoints were in place, fuel tanks were dipped, and many outstanding warrants were executed.
