Sexual abuse survivor questions vetting of Leo Hickey and calls for inquiry

A Cork survivor of sexual abuse, at the hands of her former school principal, says it's difficult to draw a line under her ordeal as she leads calls for a State inquiry.

Louise O'Keeffe made the comments after retired school teacher Leo Hickey was jailed yesterday for assaulting a former pupil in Ballincollig dating back to the early 1990's.. 

The 77 year old from Realt na Mara, Skevanish in Innishannon was found guilty of sexually assaulting Daniel Kelleher when he was 9 years old and a pupil at Scoil Eoin Boys National School in Ballincollig.

Louise O'Keeffe was abused by Leo Hickey, at Dunderrow primary school in the 1970s amd she's now calling for an inquiry 

Speaking to RedFM News Louise O'Keeffe questioned how Leo Hickey was able to operate without proper vetting
