Sexual Assault Treatment Unit In Cork Say The Amount Of Men Treated At The Clinic Doubled Last Year

In 2019, 13 men presented at the clinic following a sexual assault
However management at the clinic say a national discussion is needed as men are slow to disclose instances of sexual assault.
Speaking to RedFM News Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit Margo Noonan says figures show men are slow to report sexual assault but she hopes going forward she hopes to see a change in that trend:
