Sexual consent classes to be introduced in schools
The Education Minister is announcing a review of sex education today.
Richard Bruton will address the ASTI conference in Cork this afternoon.
The curriculum is to get a revamp to ensure it includes lessons on consent.
Pupils will be taught how to negotiate sexual relationships and the importance of sexual safety online.
Ian Power of youth information site SpunOut.ie says the classes should progress as children grow.
