Shandon clock campaigner to resist electronics
The man behind a campaign to fix the stalled Shandon clock is slamming proposals to replace the ancient mechanism with electronics. Barry Keane has launched the fixshandon twitter campaign in a bid to up the pressure on the City Council. The Fine Gael local election candidate - says the popular tourist attraction needs to be completely refurbished and serviced. However, he says the clock mechanism shouldn't be electonically controlled.
