Shore Search continues in Baltimore for missing Cork Man

Shore searches are continuing today in Baltimore in the search for missing Cork man Barry Davis Ryan.

The 21-year-old went missing when he tried to save his girlfriend Niamh O'Connor who was swept off the rocks near the Beacon by a freak wave.

Her body and that of his father Barry Ryan Snr, who also failed in his heroic attempt to save the Glanmire student, were recovered shortly after the incident.

Niamh is being laid to rest today in Kilcully, while the funeral of Barry Ryan Snr will take place in Baltimore tomorrow.

Speaking to RedFM News Don Healy of the Toe Head Glandore Coast Guard Unit explained the co-ordinated effort of the search.
