Sick Cork Girl must wait two weeks for diagnosis

The family of a seriously ill Cork girl say they will have to wait for at least a fortnight before they know what doctors in the UK can do to help her..

7 year old Abbey Murphy, has undergone several surgeries since birth but despite this her bowel doesn't work properly...

Abbey's grandmother Kathleen contacted the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM, in desperation, after funding secured for her treatment in a London hospital
was withdrawn..

Generous listeners to the radio station pledged €22,000 in just 60 minutes and just before the money was transferred the Health Minister finally stepped in and approved treatment funding for her...

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM this morning Kathleen says Abbey's consultant met her yesterday and is very positive about her future
