Sixty B&Q stores to close in the UK and Ireland

There are fears for Irish jobs following revelations that sixty B&Q stores in the UK and Ireland are to close. It's not clear how many outlets here will be affected by the plans. The company has one outlet here in Cork at Mahon Point Retail Park. The DIY chain's parent company Kingfisher saw its pre-tax profits fall by 95 million euro last year.
