Social media to organise parties comes under the spot light following mass brawl in Mayfield
The incident happened on Saturday night in Spring Vale at around 9:30pm.
Up to 15 Gardaí attended the scene of a party following reports that someone had been stabbed in the hand.
It's believed up to 150 young people turned up to the birthday party after details of the event were shared online.
5 people were arrested for public order offences, public drunkeness and refusing to leave the area when instructed by Gardaí.
Superintendent at Mayfield Garda Station Mick Comyns says things quickly got out of hand.
