SouthDoc Say Visa Restrictions Will Impact On Their Ability To Carry Out House Calls In Cork

SouthDoc says some doctors from outside Europe are only being granted 90 day work visas.
SouthDoc say their ability to carry out housecalls in Cork will be impacted if visa restrictions for doctors from outside of Ireland are not addressed.
The services' Medical Director made the comment following concern that some patients will go without assessment due to a lack of doctors, while others are being forced to present at Emergency Departments in the city.
The issue was highlighted earlier this month when it was revealed that just one doctor was on duty at SouthDoc's Kinsale Road Office for three nights over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
SouthDoc says some doctors from outside Europe are only being granted 90 day work visas.
Speaking to RedFM News, Medical Director Dr Gary Stack says patients will be adversely affected by this lack of resources
