Speculation continues as to identity of Irelands newest millionaire

Speculation as to the identity of the winner of last night's €88 million Euromillions jackpot continues this evening.

Earlier the National Lottery confirmed that the winner has made contact with them, however it's not yet known where the winner is based or if it's an individual or a group.

Locally it's widely rumoured that a syndicate of up to 30 people from Johnson and Johnson in Little Island have won the massive jackpot.

Fitzpatricks newsagents in Glounthanue are thought to have sold the winning ticket, but this has yet to be confirmed.
