Here are the traffic details you'll need if you're planning on going to the city centre on St. Patrick's Day.
ROAD CLOSURES

Please note there will be lane restrictions on both Clontarf Bridge & Eglinton Street to restrict access onto Terence McSwiney Quay. This will also commence at 1100hrs
In addition, the following main streets will be directly affected and will be closed from 11.15am

Traffic diversions will be put in place to facilitate these road closures, as follows:

South Terrace/George’s Quay – traffic will be diverted via Sullivan’s Quay & Frenche’s Quay to either Greenmount or onto Washington Street and Bachelor’s Quay.

Lavitt’s Quay – traffic will be diverted across Christy Ring Bridge

No public traffic access to Lapps Quay
PARKING
BLACK ASH PARK AND RIDE
Free Parking All Day
Black Ash Park and Ride Opening Hours: 8:30 to 19:30
- First Bus leaves Black Ash at 09:00
- Last Bus leaves Anglesea Street at 19.15
Drop off and pick up location will be on Anglesea Street, across the road from the Market Tavern.
Park and Ride services resume at Lapps Quay when roads reopen.
REMOVAL OF PARKING
To faciliate the Festival and Parade, Parking will be removed from the Following locations

- Copley St at area adjacent to former Brooks Haughton Building
Thursday 16th March from 14:00 to 16:00 on Friday 17th March
- Copley St at area opposite the former Brooks Haughton Building, Anglesea Street, Lapps Quay, Anglesea Street adjacent St. Joachim & Ann’s Home.
Thursday 16th March from 20:00 until 17:30 on Friday 17th March
- St. Patrick’s St, Emmet Place, Academy St, South Mall, Grand Parade, Parnell Place, Union Quay

North Main Street Car Park: 10:00 to 18:30

No.203 to Farranree Services will depart every 20-30 minutes
No.207 to Ballyvolane approx. from St. Patrick’s Quay

No.215 to Blarney/Cloghroe (Every Hour)
SOUTHBOUND SERVICES
Route 220 to Carrigaline/Crosshaven/Fountainstown Services will depart from Anglesea Street
Route 223 to Monkstown/Ringaskiddy/Haulbowline (opposite Market Bar)
No.202 to Mahon Services will depart every 20-30 mins approx. from temporary stop on Eglington Street
No. 203 to Ballyphehane
No. 206 to Grange
No. 207 to Donnybrook
No. 215 to Mahon Point (Jacobs Island)
No. 216 to Mount Oval
Services will depart every 20-30 minutes approx. from Anglesea St. (opposite Market Bar))
No. 205 to C.I.T.
No. 208 to Bishopstown
Services will depart every 20-30 minutes approx. from Washington Street
THERE WILL BE NO 205 SERVICE TO KENT STATION FOR THE DURATION OF CLOSURE
Passengers should board Route 226A in Parnell Place for service to Kent Station
No. 214 to CUH
No. 216 to Glasheen/CUH (Every Hour)
Services will depart every 30 minutes approx. from South Main St.
Route 220 to Ballincollig/EMC
Services will depart every 30 minutes approx. from Washington St.
Services to Macroom/West Cork
Services will depart from Bus Station and Provincial Stop, Washington Street.
Route 226 will operate INBOUND via Cotter Street, Old Station Road, Eglington Street to Bus Station, Parnell Place and Kent Station.
Outbound services will not serve stop at City Hall - Passengers should board Route 226 in Parnell Place Bus Station
All other services will depart from Bus Station, Parnell Place. Customers may encounter some delays to services.
