Staff At An Post's Little Island Mail Centre In Shock Following Closure Announcement
Up to 240 jobs will be lost at the Little Island entre
Up to 79 full time and 161 part time employees are set to lose their jobs as the semi state company seeks savings of €11 million at its Cork base.
The phased closure of the centre will take place between September this year and March of next year.
An Post says it will offer exit packages, redeployment opportunities and will assist employees in finding alternative work.
Speaking to RedFM News at An Post's Little Island Mail Centre in the past few minutes, Sean McDonagh from the Communications Workers Union says he met with staff last night
