Staff At Mount Cara House Vow To Keep Pressure On To Ensure The Care Home Remains Open

The closure of Mount Cara House on Redemption Road has been paused until January after a series of demonstrations
Mount Cara House, which has capacity for 25 residents had been earmarked for closure after 30 years due to the challenges posed by Covid-19 and a reduction in occupancy.
The Board of Management at Mount Cara House say they have been in constant contact with stakeholders to try and find a solution and to keep the facility open.
Speaking to RedFM News in the past few minutes staff member Majella Lynch says they won't stop their campaign until the threat of closure is lifted from the care home
