Start date expected for events centre Leeside

Minister for Defence Simon Coveney says he hopeful they will start shortly.
Minister Simon Coveney says he expects the sod to be turned on the highly anticipated Events Centre in the coming weeks.
He echoed the stance of the Lord Mayor who recently confirmed to Cork's RedFM that officials in City Hall are working towards securing a start date for the €50 million facility.
Concerns have been expressed in recent months over the delay in the project after issues relating to the private sector financing of the project emerged, something which the Defence Minister previously said had been over come.
Minister Simon Coveney told Cork's RedFM that he's adamant construction will start within weeks.
