Statues Of Rugby Stars To Be Erected In The City

Statues of rugby stars Ronan O'Gara and Peter Stringer are set to be erected in the city. The monuments will be privately funded and aim to celebrate the spirit of Munster rugby. It's expected that the larger-than-life-size figures mounted on granite plinths and standing between 16ft and 25ft apart will show Stringer throwing a pass to O’Gara. It's understood that a site on the Grand Parade has now emerged as a favoured location.
