Status Yellow snow and ice warning for Cork will come into effect from 8am this morning
Met Éireann says up to 5 centimetres of snow may fall in some places during the morning.
The forecaster has also issued a yellow wind warning from 8am until 8am tomorrow.
The City and County Councils are urging people to stay at home if they don't have to travel.
