Strike action looms at CIT
It's part of a national protest due to get underway tomorrow.
TUI members at Cork Institute of Technology are gearing up to take part in a national day of strike action tomorrow over funding and staffing concerns.
Lecturers and researchers at the Institute will join the others I.T.s' across the country in the day of strike action which is due to get underway in the morning.
The TUI represents 4,000 academic staff nationwide and the strike is supported by the Union of Students of Ireland.
Speaking to Cork's RedFM, Gillian Quinlan from the Cork branch of the TUI outlines the reason for the action.
