Strike Action To Impact On SouthDoc Services Tonight

Action by drivers and administration staff at SouthDoc means that a curtailed service will be in operation
Today's action involves hundreds of workers in state funded organisations that provide health and social care services around the country and centres on a pay restoration dispute
Up to 60 SIPTU members at SouthDoc will walk off the job in Cork and Kerry from 6pm until 8am tomorrow morning in a row over the reversal of pay cuts put in place in the wake of the financial crash
The union say the strike is in response to the HSE's refusal to honour a Workplace Relations Commission agreement to reverse the cuts
The Medical Director of SouthDoc Dr Gary Stack told RedFM News that they will not be able to facilitate house calls tonight and delays can be expected in making contact with call centres due to reduced numbers
