Stripe Founder hits back at Forbes magazine over publication's description of Limerick
An article published last night described how the brothers behind the billion dollar company "escaped" from "stab city" to Silicon Valley.
Patrick Collison says the article is mistaken and that the idea of "overcoming" anything is crazy.
The hashtag "Limerick and Proud" has been trending on social media overnight.
Irish Independent columnist and Limerick man John Downing says the backlash isn't surprising:
"I mean it's actually not tragic and more laughable. I think the author of that piece is more to be laughed at each release."
