Students face high rents ahead of academic year

Students moving away from home to go to college could end up paying up to 1,500 euro a month for accommodation.
The warning comes as around 53,000 students received their first round CAO offers today.
The Residential Tenancies Board says accommodation in Cork, Tralee, Athlone, Limerick and Galway will cost between 600 and 900 euro a month
But to rent a place in Maynooth in Co Kildare or in Dublin could cost up to 1,500 euro a month.
