Students prepare for opening Leaving Cert exam

The Education Minister is wishing the class of 2021 well ahead of this year's Leaving Cert exam.
Thousands of students are spending their last day studying before they begin with English Paper 1 tomorrow morning.
This year they've had the option of exams, accepting calculated grades or choosing both.
Minister for Education Norma Foley is urging students to continue to follow public health guidelines as they prepare to celebrate finishing school.
"I have enormous faith in young people, from my experience in particular from a schools point of view students have been so cooperative, they've been so willing, and they have adhered to the best practice and advice that has operated in the schools.
"I know now that there is a lot more freedom over the summer, I would just encourage students to just do what they've been doing now for the last number of months."
