Students set to return to college campuses

College students will be able to return to campus next semester.
Third level institutions will reopen for teaching in laboratories, classrooms, smaller lectures, tutorials and research.
Libraries and canteens will also reopen while sports facilities, clubs and societies and bars can return in line with public health advice.
President Of NUI Galway Professor Ciarán Ó Hógartaigh says covid safety measures will still be a feature of college life.
'There will be the usual public health requirements, things like ventilation, looking at large lecture halls and capacity of those, moving some of the larger lectures to remote learning, and adjusting timetable to reduce the overall population on campus at any one given time."
