State Examinations Commission reassures students it plans to issue their marks on time
The State Examinations Commission has reassured those appealing their Leaving Cert results that it plans to issue their marks on time.
It comes after the number of Leaving Cert students seeking rechecks has surged by 75 per cent.
More than 9,000 students, or 16 per cent of all candidates, appealed some 17,000 Leaving Cert grades this year, the highest number on record.
President of the ASTI Deirdre McDonald is confident that the SEC can keep its promise to issue results by mid-September:
