Suspect identified in Madeleine McCann case
A man in a German prison has been identified as a suspect in Madeleine McCann's disappearance.
He's in jail on separate charges - but is known to have been in the area of the three-year old's disappearance.
The young girl vanished from a holiday villa in Praia da Luz in Portugal 13 years ago.
Detective chief inspector Mark Cranwell made a plea for information.
"There may be people in the past who have been quite fearful of coming forward to the police.
"My message is to anybody that has information - did he speak to you in confidence, and tell you what happened that night?
"That is my message, and the message is associated with the fact that he is currently in prison, and this is a good time to come forward."
