Swimming ban for three West Cork beaches
The Warren beach in Rosscarbery, Owenahincha and Inchydoney
No swimming notices have been erected at three West Cork beaches after heavy rain this week.
Cork County Council have enforced the notices at the Warren beach in Rosscarbery, Owenahincha and Inchydoney as a precautionary measure in case slurry washed off the land during the heavy rainfall.
Officials are now testing water from the beaches for the presence of e.coli and the results should be known by tomorrow.
