Sympathies pour in for the family of Karen Buckley

People across the city and county have been expressing their sympathies to the family of murdered Mourneabbey student Karen Buckley. Books of condolence were opened yesterday in Cork County Hall and at civic offices across North Cork. Karen’s parents John and Marian flew back to their home over the weekend to begin the preparations for Karen’s funeral. However it could be a number of days before the 24 year old's remains are released for burial. Lord Mayor Councillor Mary Shields is to open a book of condolences at City Hall this lunchtime, speaking to RedFM News she's hopeful the gesture will bring some solace to Karen's family.
