The Detective Garda was murdered in Co Limerick 25 years ago today
The Garda Commissioner and the Justice Minister will lay wreaths at a commemoration ceremony in Adare Village.
Detective Garda McCabe was shot dead by the Provisional IRA on the morning of the 7th of June 1996 while escorting a post office truck on its cash delivery at Adare.
