Tánaiste Simon Coveney Says A Major Hurdle Has Been Overcome To Get The Cork Events Centre Built

The government has this morning confirmed that it can legally contribute €30 million euro to the overall project cost
That's without the original tender being at risk of a possible legal challenge
The project involves Cork City Council, Live Nation, Bam and central government.
Tanaiste Simon Coveney confirmed that any cost over-runs from now on,, in relation to the €74m venue will be borne by developers BAM and their partners Live Nation within the existing funding arrangements..
A decision on a fresh planning application lodged in August is still awaited.
Speaking to RedFM News the Tanaiste says months of work has led to today's decision.
