Tánaiste to turn the sod at CIT/MTU Arena
The sod for the €22 million CIT/MTU Arena is being turned this morning in Bishopstown by the Tánaiste.
The state of the art sports facility will have two basketball courts, a gym with 100 fitness machines, as well as a public foyer and cafe.
The building will also be used to host exams, concerts, conferences, and conferring ceremonies.
Phase two of the project will include an indoor athletics centre and office space.
