Taoiseach 'Committed' To Working Towards The Reinstatement Of The SouthDoc Facility In Blackpool

Micheal Martin confirmed that he has been working on the matter for some time
He had hoped that out of hours GP service would reopen in mid January.
However, just ahead of that scheduled re-opening SouthDoc issued a statement confirming that it would continue to deliver the service in a consolidated format until the current wave of Covid-19 has abated.
Locals have been up in arms about the loss of the service since it closed due to the pandemic last year and have been consistently calling for it to be reopened.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM, Taoiseach Micheal Martin says he is working hard to get it reopened:
'I've been on the HSE and Paul Reid in relation to it. We thought before Christmas that we had it sorted, and we will be renewing out efforts to try and get it reopened.'
