Taoiseach confident in Cork growth

The Taoiseach says Cork is poised to become a great city in the next five to 10 years.
Enda Kenny is on an official visit to Cork today where he will lead two sod turning ceremonies at the Events Centre and the re-development of the Capitol Cinema site on the Grand Parade.
The construction of the 6,0000 seater Events Centre is expected to get underway next week and will lead to the creation of hundreds of new jobs along with enabling the city to host large events all year long.
Business leaders in the city are looking forward to work commencing on the former Capitol Cinema site which will transform the Grand Parade and later this afternoon Enda Kenny will announce 50 new jobs at Aspira in Little Island as part of his whirlwind tour of Cork.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on RedFM Enda Kenny described the €50 million Convention Centre as a glorious opportunity for Cork to expand.
